What Is SMM2H?
SMM2H stands for Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home. It is a long-term residency visa that lets you live in Sarawak and travel freely in and out of Malaysia. The programme is managed entirely by the Sarawak Government.
Am I Eligible?
Open to All Countries
All nationalities are welcome, except North Korea and Israel.
Years old and above (No upper limit)
Fixed Deposit
You must place of RM 500,000 in a Fixed Deposit account at a local Sarawak bank.
Proof of Finances
Income includes salary, commission, retirement fund, pension, offshore income, etc.
Bring Your Family Along
The SMM2H programme allows you to bring along dependants to reside in Sarawak long-term.
Spouse
Your spouse will receive the same pass as the main applicant.
Children
Unmarried children below the age of 21 are eligible.
Parents
Eligible to apply as dependents of the main applicant.

Property Purchase in Sarawak
SMM2H pass holders can purchase property in Sarawak, subject to the Land Code (Amendment)(No.2) Order 1998.
After 1 year in the programme, visa holders may withdraw up to 50% of their Fixed Deposit for a property purchase, car purchase, medical expenses, or children's education in Sarawak.
